CHOOSING WHICH WORKSHOP TO ATTEND
I’m not going to lie, I wanted to go to a few. I still want to attend almost all of the workshops offered. It was quite difficult to pick which one to attend first.
I ended up deciding on the happiness workshop for a number of reasons. During my regular visits instore, I had looked at the happiness journal a few times and considered buying it. Once I read that the journal which was worth $35 was included, I wanted to attend even more.
At the time of booking/attending, I was feeling a little down in the dumps. The workshop was in between CPA semesters so I thought it would be a good opportunity to recharge my batteries and do something for me.
I was a little bit nervous so my lovely friend came with me. The workshop we booked was in one of the city stores in Melbourne at 6.30pm on a Tuesday night.

THE VENUE
The workshop was after trading hours so the store was closed to the public. There was a little section that was set up with 9 chairs and a small table in the middle. Each chair had some goodies on it including the happiness journal and some paper and pens. The little coffee table had lots of treats like fruit, chocolate and every colour gel pen imaginable.
When we first arrived we were offered some drinks, I opted for a glass of champagne but there were sparkling waters available as well.
As part of the workshop, you were given a discount on all products in store. I think it was 20% but I can’t remember exactly because I restrained myself from purchasing anything. Before the workshop started everyone made the most of having the store to ourselves and we all had a good look at all the new stock.
THE WORKSHOP
The happiness workshop was run by a lovely Kikki K employee who specialises in a couple of different workshops.
It was really unexpected but I felt so comfortable with the group of ladies in the workshop with me. When I go to my next one, I definitely won’t be worried about going alone. Everyone there was in a similar boat to me, just looking to create more happiness within their lives. The entire group was female and ages ranged from 18 to 50.
The girl running the workshop had us do a few activities. We only had to share with the group what we felt comfortable saying out loud. Before I knew it, the workshop was over . 90 minutes sounds like a long time but it really flew by.
THE JOURNAL
Each season the happiness journal gets a little update. Its really only the colour scheme that changes, the content stays similar. This season Kikki K has brought it out in a beautiful blush colour.
The happiness journal is broken up into two main sections, information and prompts at the beginning and then each month of the year where you write about your objectives.
Instructions on how to use the journal are right at the start. Next, there are some amazing facts about happiness which are really awesome and inspiring. After this point, its time to start writing. To get the most out of your happiness journal, there are a number of little activities to get you thinking about what makes you happy and unhappy. There is even a mini vision board for you to create.
The next section is broken up into the 12 months of the year. Each month you choose one of the 8 happiness areas to focus on. After choosing which areas you’re going to focus on, you then come up with 5 objectives for the month and note down how you are going to achieve them. There is even a monthly calendar to help you keep track of how you’re going to smash those objectives. At the end of the month, there is some space to reflect.
THOUGHTS
Attending the Kikki K happiness workshop was an amazing experience. I came away from the night feeling empowered, hopeful and re-energised. Having the opportunity to meet so many like-minded women was a real bonus. The Kikki K team made the night so relaxing and enjoyable.
I can’t wait to do another workshop soon.
