FIND & REPLACE EXCEL
The find and replace feature in Excel can save you hours when you need to clean/amend large amounts of data.
Once you start using this feature you won’t stop. These days, even when only needing to change small datasheets, I will use the find and replace feature.
FIND & REPLACE IN EXCEL: MICROSOFT INSTRUCTIONS
STEP 1
 Once you have decided what word or number you would like to replace, make sure you have the home tab open in excel.
Click on find and select. This button is located towards the top right of the screen.
Step 2
Once you have clicked the find and select icon, a drop-down menu will appear.
Click on the word REPLACE.
Step 3
Ensure you have the replace tab open and not the find tab.
In the ‘find what’ section enter the word or number that you want to replace. This is the data you want to be changed.
In the ‘replace with’ section, enter the word or number you would like shown instead of the word or number entered in the ‘find want’ section.
Once both sections have the correct word or numbers, click on replace all.
Step 4
You will now see that the data has been replaced. Check your data to see that you have replaced the right thing. If not, hit control Z to go back a step.
Step 5
Repeat step 2 & 3 until you have changed all the data required.
FIND & REPLACE IN EXCEL: MAC
Using find and replace in Excel on Mac computer is very similar. We will use the same example to show you how to use the find and replace feature in excel on mac computer.
STEP 1

Repeat step 2 & 3 until you have changed all the data required.
